My name is Marissa Maddox. I am from Northern California, born and raised. I began playing softball at the age of five. My passion for the game allowed me to pursue competitive softball starting at a varsity level for four years in high school, as well as a few competitive club teams. I played both infield and outfield. Out of high school, I played at Division I Cal State University Bakersfield where I was able to develop as a player and as an athlete from a great coaching staff. I then transferred to The College of Idaho after two years. My junior year I earned All conference honors in the outfield with over a .350 batting average and 10 home runs. As a senior, our team traveled to Louisiana for the national tournament after ranking in the top 20 for NAIA schools. I finished the year with All Conference honors in the outfield, 15 home runs on the season, over a .350 batting average, and several hitting records broken.
I grew up with a younger sister, Jordan, who played along side with me at The College of Idaho. I am a nursing assistant at St. Lukes Emergency Department in Boise, an EMT, and am pursing a career in firefighting. I also have a passion for health and fitness.
I look forward to using my 18 years of softball experience to improve kids who want to learn and enjoy the greatest sport in the world!
